Screen printing has a fixed setup cost per color and a low cost per shirt after. Quantity moves price hard — 24 to 72 shirts changes the per-unit cost more than most people expect — and every extra ink color is another screen and another pass. For a booster run especially, keeping the color count down is often the difference between a viable sale price and an unviable one.

Deadlines and the spring squeeze

Standard turnaround is about two weeks from approved artwork. Season deadlines are known months ahead and then arrive suddenly, and spring is the tightest window locally because youth sports, camps and outdoor employers all order at once. Ordering four to six weeks earlier than feels necessary is what secures your first-choice garment.

Send vector artwork — .ai, .eps or a high-resolution .pdf. Anything pulled off a website needs redrawing first, which is the usual cause of a late job.
