Which method for which job

Screen printing forces ink through a mesh stencil, one screen per color. Setup is the expensive part, so cost per shirt drops steeply with volume. Right for school spirit wear, team apparel, trail and community event tees, and fundraisers.

Embroidery stitches the design in thread from a digitized file. No screens means small runs are economical, and the finish lasts as long as the garment. Right for garden center staff polos, landscaping crew shirts, prep school apparel, fleece, jackets and caps. Fine detail is its limit — text under about a quarter inch fills in.

Standard turnaround is about two weeks from approved artwork.
