The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tragic and drastic effect on our country, our way of life, and our loved ones and friends on multiple levels. Think about your circle. Have you checked in on your friends who are business owners? You might want to pick up the phone or send a friendly text! A Facebook report just published this month explains, “In the United States, 22 percent of small businesses reported they were closed in February, increasing from 14 percent in October 2020. Of all the impacted industries, travel, restaurant and hospitality are among those reporting the most significant drops.” Businesses are having a hard time bouncing back, raising awareness, and rebuilding their customer base.

Of course, as a small business ourselves, we know that getting your name and brand out there is most important. However, when the cashflow is suffering, promotions and giveaways are often placed on the back burner. Travel Pulse continues to state that, “Of the small hospitality businesses still operating, 43 percent reported they had laid off half or more of their employees, with 51 percent in the U.S. also making the massive coronavirus-related changes,” which results in an increase in unemployment and a decrease in mental health and sense of security. When your business is truly your lifeline, watching is crumble can be detrimental.

Companies need affordable ways to get their name out in the open again. We’ve got three solutions that you’ll love!

SPF 15 Lip balm:

How to do it: Recommend that current clients reach out to existing customers with a mailer and a new lip balm. Let them see that their business and support during these unprecedented times is appreciated and valued. Small impressions like these encourage brand loyalty, even if brick and mortar locations are unable to be visited.

Lotion Mini Samples

How to do it: Encourage self-care! Self care is so important right NOW! Personal care products like lotion, body washes, or even hand sanitizer show caring and connection. Add a personal touch like, “See you soon” or “We’re thinking of you” to remind customers that you’re looking forward to working with them again.

SPF Samples

How to do it: Everyone is getting outside and moving their bodies! Going on a neighborhood walk or a hike in the woods has been therapeutic for many during the last year and a half. Send a keychain or pocket-sized sunscreen with a card that says “Looking forward to brighter days” or “Enjoy the sunshine safely” to lift spirits and follow a self-care model.

A friendly reminder doesn’t have to be extra on your wallet or your mind! These items help connections rekindle and flow naturally without breaking the bank!
